Nice capture, Steve!
I live near South Mountain and was up late last night and man, there was lightning and thunder over here every other second or so. I have taken some photos of lightning in the past and thought about breaking out the cam last night but said "fuckit." I was too tired to stand there trying over and over again to get one, you have to have quick reflexes to capture one manually or the expensive equipment to do it the easier way.
I sure hope the monsoons keep at it, I love it when it rains here, and we sure the hell need every bit we can get.
