Article I, Section 9 of the U.S. Constitution:
"The privilege of the writ of habeas corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in cases of rebellion or invasion the public safety may require it."
I wasn't aware that there was a rebellion or invasion going on.
We still have 130 or so more prisoners to go, imho.
