The few times Ive been approached by industry "sales people".They have been very nice people but no one took the time to teach them sales 101.All they do is talk at me instead of asking questions about my business and then see how they maybe a match.
I learned this the hard way when I was a headhunter, I was talking to a CEO of a big casino doing my written pitch. The guy stopped me and started asking questions on what I knew about his business. I knew nothing being a noobie. So then he verbally whipped me: "how are you going to help my business when you know nothing about it? "
That is when I learned the power of questions, most dont know this and are order takers.
