I had a friend who had a small amount of cotton get stuck in his ear. A very tiny amount. It worked it's way down the ear canal and at a certain point it started to mess with his equilibrium so bad that he fell down.
Yeah, that should be a warning of what can happen when you go crazy with Q-Tips... but just like AIDS should be a warning against going bareback people still can't stop because it feels good! (or, uh, so I hear)

She was like 6 years old or something, we had to hold her down outside and my grandma took those hospital tweezers and took them out she one in both ears one was a piece of cotton and the other was the whole damn tip.
It scared the crap out of me til this day I only use my wash cloth, and and I stop at resistants
