Ok, I will give my opinion on it.
On the one hand from the logical point of view Jace doesn't make sense, because he can just sell the sig for whatever amount and then pay for the things he wants.. or just keep the money.
But on the other hand, hm... I can understand him as well... personally I am hate spending money on unneccessay stuff so i wouldn't spend $500 on a something which i don't need at all. But if someone bought me it, it would be cool.
doesnt make much logical sense, its rather an attitude thing, an emotional thing etc
