It is an interesting report, but it is like saying that shit in the woods is very likely to have a bear in it's past. They are going the wrong direction looking for a cause.
People who have plastic surgery or cosmetic procedures often do so because they are not satisfied with their appearance. However, that physical dissatisfaction is often just the tip of a larger self image issue which can be part of a larger mental issue.
The real question would be "what percentage of suicidal people have first tried cosmetic procedures?" The surgery didn't cause the suicidal thoughts, they were already there.
