This article brings back a lot of painful memories for me.

Sad to say though I don't see how there will ever be any real change. Everyone always says the same thing, "If only people would notcie that this is happening" "If only this, If only that" "Maybe just maybe"

But the reality is, it just isn't going to happen, nothing has changed, nothing is going to change until we as black people take steps to make change happen. If our own people don't care enough to do anything about it, why should other people care.

My room mate Dave was murdered about 10 years ago, he was my best friend like a brother to me, he always looked out for me took better care of me then he did his own sisters.
People knew who did it, but as usual did nothing about it. He is just one of several friends I've lost to black on black crime. The black community is basically desensitized.
