I think you're not taking into account the distance we've come in genetic science in the last couple of decades.
I've heard a few different geneticists talk about the real possibility of most forms of cancer being cured in the next 20 years... not to mention all the hype about doubling and tripling life expectancy for homo sapiens in the next 50.
Granted, these projections might be optimistic, but even if they're possible, they're within the bounds of "Ever," ya know.

I just cant see them creating one pill that cures all the cancers in one go. Bone cancer is so much different to say liver cancer.
'Ever' is along time so yes eventually there could be some devise that resets the blood cells to a past state or something like that but I cant see that happening within 20 years.
