Managed to kick my main lappy off the bed yesterday, and on restarting (it hung) I just get the cannot find operating system message.

I've changed the boot sequence to DVD drive forst, but it refuses to boot from the XP recovery disk.

Anybody got any ideas? Am I fucked?
