Yes, you SHOULD get your eyes checked if things get blurry.
That being said, it's most likely eye strain. Eyes weren't made to stare at a close object for long periods of time. Take a break at least once an hour and get up from the computer desk, walk around, and make a point of actually LOOKING at other things. Not just that zombie-like march that you do on the way to the bathroom and back where you get into the bathroom and can't even remember walking in there, much less *seeing* anything on the way in.
Look out of your window, look across the room - anything that will get your eyes moving and looking at things further than the 2 feet that your monitor is.
You might want to increase the display size or text size on your screen also, so your eyes aren't straining to read size 2 Tahoma font on a 1024x768 screen (TINY!).
