You say it's "straight to the paysite" after the torrent... why the hell would anyone go to the paysite when he has the paysite on his own damn hard drive?
Trust me, while site owners (and affiliates, for that matter) use P2P to get traffic, there is tons of content on P2P that the site owners do NOT want there.
There is nothing shady about program owners who use P2P for promotion. There *is* something shady about affiliate programs that advertise on torrent sites which offer full site rips, full scenes, etc.
As for your thoughts on affiliates being "employees"... don't be an idiot. Advertisers aren't employers. They're customers. Protip: when you buy ads on Google, you are not suddenly employing Google.
