Wow, pepsi got their ass handed to them over a coke product? Damn that is a newsworthy thing.
BTW, they've never denied that it was just filtered tap water.
The most expensive part of bottling coke is the water, because it has to be exactly the same at every plant in the world so the taste of the soda is the same.
They figured if they were spending that much money making the water perfect, they might as well bottle it too and sell it.
