Well said; but mannnnnnn, this is just not the reality on the ground.
When people think you have no money then they treat you like shit no matter what else you have going for you. I've had too many experiences where I was wearing work-out clothes etc... and decided to do some quick biz or look at something to buy or rent. I got the mega shit treatment almost everytime. I even got charged $2.00 more per drink in a bar once because they thought I was not going to tip. I ended up having a lady I met their go buy my drinks to get a better price.
I put on some old clothes to do laundry one day then decided to run to the store to get some shampoo and handed the cashier my visa card and she was like "you can't buy that with this".
I was like "what? I use this card all the time". Then she said "you can't but non-food items with a food stamp card". She didn't even look at the card to see it was a visa!! I had to argue with her to get her to read the card.
That would not have happened if I had on a $600 suit.
