 yep with a few tweaks, its a good script out of the box, but you can make some nice mods to it.
i have hacked my babelogger to shit.

- display random links
- ratio submitting
- submit posts via admin
- ajax star based voting
- featured/chosen ones

- tag cloud based on tags
- user submit future post date
- restrict role to webmaster when user register
- top clicked content
- top in/out referalls
- user registration list with stats (submissions,clicks)
- rss feed autoposter
