Questions:
1) is wmv only enough ?
If you're only going one format I'd say so. It's nice to offer IPOD versions (MP4) and maybe even stream a Flash version too.
2) is 503 kbs enough or do we need to convert it to at least 1024kbps?
Nowadays I'd have the higher version in there.
3) if there is no archive but the one latest day of updates only, to keep it unique, would that decline the value?
Significantly.
4) will it decline the value of our exclusive content ?
You mean if it goes out on a lot of other sites will it kill the sales value of your own? I think it'll mean a lot less to surfers and your conversion rate then it will mean to the perception of webmasters who promote your sites. In any case I'd keep some content for your own sites only and some for distribution and have it clearly marked on your own what is 100% exclusive to you (and also then to your affiliates).
5) won't you bitch about that your members can find the original website and brand producing the stuff via search engines if they like it?
Some other vid providers have offered leased content with their branding all over it that essentially acts as a traffic leak. Perhaps you should build it in a way that encourages the best shot giving kickbacks for referred traffic. This is a complicated issue ether way. Bottom line is people just won't take it if they are too worried about it anyway.
6) The price I discussed was like 10 times the price of the membership which would be between 300 - 400 bucks a month, you got reservations to that?
Your price should slide on s scale based on bandwidth usage or you are going to get killed.
7) fixed fee is easy to account and no hassle, but to pay per bandwith is more accurate, what's your view on that?
