I bought a generic mp3 player off ebay a few weeks ago. It's one that looks exactly like an ipod nano. I have a real one also and I can't tell the difference between them unless I pick it up and look closely at it.
The fake one is from China and it has its own software and it comes with a little manual/booklet that they've written to go with it. The whole fucking thing is in Engrish.
I have a friend who's warped like me and we get hysterical reading it back and forth to each other. She can do a really good Asian accent, which makes it that much better. They constantly refer to its "exquisite appearance, designed as a gold brick".
