Apple, was on the path that Microsoft took... Just like windows, mac has there OS and standards atleast Microsoft is a lot more flexible than Mac/Apple would of been. Don't forget how everything for the Apple Computer apple created software, accessories, etc. If MS didn't compete and create Windows we'd be complaining about how Apple is to big and not allowing anyone else to create programs for their system.

As for Unix it would probably of stayed a govt private used OS... if you look at everything is was all a chain reaction for the better. I'd rather have Microsoft being greedy than Apple. Apple is a lot worse when it comes to not wanting anyone to change or mess with there stuff
