Word. You have also to take into consideration that the area of the US includes place like Alaska and the Virgin Islands which throw the stats off a little bit. I note this because Alaska is not as densely populated as the rest of the US in general and therefor really only serves to increase the amount of land you have while not housing many people in comparison to almost all of the other states (it ranks 47th while being the biggest in area).

On a per capita basis, I am not surprised in the slightest that Canada and the US use roughly the same amount of oil (unless you add in the DoD into the US stats) because we have similar setups. My point that Canada is large was made so people understand why we use cars if we live outside of the city.

And on a side note, I was never saying Canada was the largest country in the world. Everyone know Russia is the biggest by a long shot.
