I do a lot of volunteer work at an animal shelter and I can assure you that any breed can be abused and any breed can be dangerous if not properly raised. I'll likely meet a few neglected pitbulls tomorrow, but it's no riskier than working with any other breed. Honestly, they're some of my favorites and the most resilient little guys. Unfortunately they're also the favorites of some real assholes. Not their fault for being popular with the wrong kind of people though.
