Stink Feet, Socks Spark Police Raid, Man Believed To Be Dead Was Only Sleeping

Berlin, Germany (AHN) - A man's smelly feet caused police to raid his home after neighbors reported the smell of a
rotting body.
Police said the
"nauseous stench" was found to be coming from his feet and a pile of unwashed socks.
Police broke into the home of Johannes Helmut, 41, in Kaiserslautern, Germany, and found him asleep in bed.
Neighbors, who had not seen him for a week, believed that he had died because of the
smell coming from his home.
