I am located in Austria, so for example Serbia (& Montenegro) seems to be a good option. Beograd (Belgrade) is just a 6 hours drive from my city and the country is not expected to join the EU in the very near future.
One of the main challenges could be to find a credit card acquirer though
Anyone here has some experience with that country? Whats your opinion?

Hi Otto,
Serbia is nice country to live if you have good earnings online

.
You can regularly got wire transfers from major worlds countries to all banks
here. Also you can obtain credit cards from banks here that works for online
payment. For example
http://www.raiffeisenbank.co.yu/english/index.asp which is an Austrian bank, has cc which works very well for me

.
Epassporte works fine here, but no paypal.
cheers
