So directnic finally pissed me off one time to many, and I decide to transfer 188 domains away from them. Off to godaddy I trundle, sign up as a reseller to make it cheaper all round.
For those not familiar with the archaic process, despite "bulk transfer" options in place, you have to enter a transaction id and code for each effin domain, then once you accept the transfer, put in an authorisation code.
I painstakingly did this on all domains, and half failed. I gave all the details in a spreadsheet to the new registrar to fix up themselves as I lost it, and guess what, still 46 domains have fucked up. 25% fuckup rate. Has taken over a month this whole shambles and now those 46 have "expired" - you have to get your money back for the transfer and start the whole process again.
I fucking hate registrars. Officious useless pricks. Are there any good ones? They seem like a shelter for ex-Govt workers with no brains or something.
