fido is full of retards
About a year and a half ago i signed up for a cell phone with fido, bought the phone straight out and took no contract or anything.
I tried canceling it today, and apparently according to their computer im on a contract and have to pay a $140 cancellation fee.
So i ask them if they have this signed contract, they said no. I asked them if the kiosk i got the phoen from has this signed contract, they said no. Basically the only thing saying im under agreement is a prompt on their computer, which is incorrect.
I asked to speak to a manager, I have to wait 48 hours for one to phone me back. I would rather get this sorted out, but basically they have nothing right? If they try to send this to collections, i can just ask for proof of the debt, at which point this supposed "verbal agreement" as the fido lady put it be unenforcable?
