I have lived in Manhattan since 1999....the best HIDDEN GEM of this city is GOVERNORS ISLAND. Definitely head there 1 day. Its absolutely amazing, beautiful and a good time in nice weather.
Hit up the Bronx zoo, and the botanical Gardens
Catch some sun on the Great Lawn in Central Park (Lots of hot girls there too)
Hit up any museum you like, they are all great in summer, fully loaded.
Chelsea Piers and south street seaport.
if you are going out at night, hitup the meatpacking district, Lower East side, The Village. All other areas suck in the summer at night. Everyone heads to the Hamptons or jersey shore Fri-sun ...
