Agreed, but part of the problem nowadays is that many of the so-called "newbies" are nothing more than known troll idiots using (hiding behind) fake anon nicks in order to run their mouths and post their idiocy.
It's a different world than it was in the late 90's.
There were less boards back then, less webmasters, and far FAR less idiots. Today's survivors have to learn how to adapt or at least cope with all the idiocy and still find a way to thrive in spite of it.
Good post btw, thanks for the history recap. Much of that is very nostalgic for me.
