So the answer to this problem is to remove the rights of the individual? Not everyone who owns guns commit crimes, so why do they have to suffer because some guy robs a liquer store? Educating people is by far a better solution and one that could happen if the laws were written to support it. Instead all out restrictions and bans on guns, or whatever, why not require people to learn about what they are doing. It would work better than just saying "no" and putting them in jail.
