I would not let this thread resort to name calling, specially of certain words that without proof can get one banned.
First there should always be a presumption of innocence. Having a national, yes national or it would not work ID system that showed colors or numbers indicating how little or much of a potential criminal you happen to be.
Keep in mind how often you show your ID everywhere as well. Would you get treated different at a bank, what about buying alcohol or smokes?
Then how would this help national security other than track and scarlet letter people whom have broken the law in the past. Oh I know, it would also increase the fake ID business to boot.
