They had less than a day to get it under control after it flared up Sunday. Winds were very calm yesterday but they are kicking up now. The smoke was south of Reno but now I can't even see the Sierra-Nevada mtns for the smoke.
The fire has jumped Hwy 89 (89 runs up the west side of the lake) and looks like nothing is going to stop it. Winds are forecast to get stronger over the next few days as a cold front approaches.
God bless the 2000 firefighters battling this fire but it is almost an unbeatable foe with the winds we are getting.
