I am well aware what the diff between "demand account" and "checking account" is thank you. He asked what my balance was on our Personal Checking account, and that was the question i answered. If you want to call a "demand account" a "checking account" without checks, then go ahead, but in not a correct use of the term.

That is like saying my Pension account a "personal checking account" without checks and ATM card
