Speaking for myself (rather than generalities) - I tend to work harder and shoot more during the summer than winter simply because we take advantage of the warm weather for outdoor location shoots. We stockpile through the summer months and relax our shooting schedule through the winter a little (not totally, but a fair bit).
Our work schedule isn't driven by sales trends - just availability of warmer temps.
As for what others do...I can't speak in generalities. I'm sure everyone has their own way of doing things.
