Yeah, they're everywhere. In Texas -- can't speak for anywhere else -- they were mostly run by Asian immigrants and charged insanely cheap prices for nails done using illegal materials. Like dental acrylic. That shit will poison you! When they use it to make dentures, etc, they bake it and it cures it so the chemicals don't leach out...but when you get it put on your nails, the chemicals leach into your bloodstream through the nailbed. Scary shit.
