I have a MySpace account with no friends, never requested any friends, has a unique email address just for it. I receive three to six invites and/or messages a day, usually pushing Fling or AFF though sometimes smaller problems. Don't care about that part - those guys have their own battles to fight.
So I flag messages as spam, but invites can't be flagged. You have to actually use the contact form and report abuses. I do this every 5th invite or so and I always include a link to the profile and a clip of the HTML that leads to the spammy link.
Today I got my first response:
Quote:
Hello,
Thank you for contacting Customer Support at MySpace.com and helping us keep our community safe and fun.
Unfortunately, the email you previously sent was unclear. For future reference, if there is a profile you feel violates our Terms of Service, you may either use the ?report abuse? link located on the bottom of their page or when sending us an email, please include the profile I.D. and violation. This will help us investigate the issue faster and more efficiently.
Thank you

So apparently, go ahead and spam away. Bad enough that they're worse than Craigslist about removing spam classifieds postings - this is ridiculous. Their service is stagnating, Facebook and others are kicking their ass in finding and retaining real users and they don't seem to give a flying fuck.
