I think I say this every time someone posts they can't get a room: put your name on the waiting list. It ALWAYS opens up right before the show. I don't think I've seen a "sold out" hotel yet that didn't have rooms a day or so before the show started, except maybe Phoenix.

would hate to have to wait until 2 days before we leave to find out if we have a room or not
