Here is my advice (for what it's worth) ... design a good (quality) site first, THEN Worry about where to put your ads.

With a site like yours, don't have more than 1 ad per page. It makes your site look cheap and tacky.

Always make sure that every page has a text link back to the main menu and the main menu has a text link to every other page on your site.

Don't use offiste counters like the one you are using. 1) It's not typically that accurate. 2) It discracts from the design of your page. 3) It can cause a page to load slower at times and that means you could lose traffic over it.

Most web hosting companies provide you stats programs for free like AWStats and if yours doesn't, they suck and you should get a new one. I'm sure the boys here can help refer you to a better hosting company. Even the cheap ones offer some sort of stats program. Server log stats are always more accurate than remotely hosted counters. Read the article at all4u.com about it.

Be more descriptive on your page. A person who comes upon your page might be confused between your ads and your content. Add little things like "click the thumbnail image to view the full sized photos". It may sound simple and obvious but you would be surprised how much that will improve your sites bounce rate.

Don't be an ad whore. Make a quality site and people will trust you enough to visit your sponsors and spend money at their site(s) which in turn make you money. Think of it this way ... if you go up to a guy you don't trust, would you buy something he was selling you? Of course not! But what if you meet a guy you like and he seems pretty upstanding? See the difference?

Good luck and don't ever be afraid to ask for help.
