You just answered your own point.... she retired. And you were after all the one who first compared them in this thread, I merely responded to that. She may or may not have had more talent than other performers, but since she never really did much with her career beyond the little she did do back in the day I suppose we'll never know.

Close to the same age - 40+ at least.
I compared their talents and abilities. I will not deny they wasn't the biggest star, but neither was Tasmin Archer, but both had talents and voices that was far superior to many of today's "stars"
Kim Wilde was huge here in Europe, don't know how bug she was in the US
