the biggest changes are the rate of compressions to breaths.
It's been decided that its more important to compress than to breath while you wait for the paramedics to arrive. That pumping the oxygen in the blood around is key. So they upped the compressions to breaths from 15-2 to 30-2.
And if you were/are afraid to give mouth to mouth due to it being a stranger and maybe catching a disease or something, that you can do a ton of good just by doing the compressions and not doing any breaths at all while waiting for the paramedics.
