Basic needs have to be met. Eat, sleep, sex. What better place to have casual sex than with someone you've already been with? Ah, but you're assuming the ex hubby isn't a complete fucking idiot, for lack of a better term. For all you know he is a needle-sharing junkie, or maybe a bi-curious no-condom-using AIDS risk, and may actually NOT be the "smartest sex" source you're assuming him to be.
