BP have you talked to her best (female) friend?
She's probably told her best friend what she *hopes* you'll do or what she *thinks* you'll do, and that will give you a direction to go in.
I like the comedy club idea, I also hear the dinner theatres (where your group acts out the parts) are a fantastic time.
Do there *have* to be friends involved? Ugh.
Why not fly her down to Jamaica or something for 2 days? Call her employer, let them know and keep it hush-hush... take her out to dinner the night before like you're planning, some dancing maybe afterwards, and then instead of driving home, drive to the airport and get on a fucking plane... BAM the next thing she knows she's in sunny Jamaica watching the sun rise on her 30th birthday with her one and only true love...
