sorry i was a tech for years.

eh, i'm not sure either. but i'd check your bios too. also, try booting into safe mode in windows. when the first dos-ish startup bar appears, hurry up and press f8, then 'safe mode'. sometimes a lot of errors i've had are fixed by going into safe mode, let it start up all the way, then reboot normally. it may still be windows is fux0red. otherwise the bios is your best bet. you might even try resetting the bios to default, or factory settings. if one of those things doesn't do it, it may be time for a re-install. every machine needs a good enima once in a while

oh yeah, if the safe mode thing doesn't work first try, reboot in safe mode, then check your power settings and stuffs. not likely to be that, more likely windows is fux0red, but just as well.
