I'm not really one for "star bullshit".. and I don't watch that show.. but this was pretty fucking weird. I was heading to Byron (pissant little town in AU) for my usual weekend seafood blitz and a satirical sport program (Roy and HG) was going on and ON about this stadium that Anthony la Paglia (the guy) and Russel Crowe are going to build. They're both into football, although different codes.. and for about 20 minutes they banged on and on about them and this stadium they might get around to building. Totally taking the piss out of the situation.. they're a riot. Anyhow.. literally 60 seconds after getting out of my car.. and maybe 100m away I walk past none other than the guy they've been talking about - Anthony La Paglia with his kid on his shoulders.. And this is a town of 30,000 people.. not a big city.... Like, what the fuck is this dude doing here.. He should be in the US filming or something.. I was a little bit smashed so I checked with my wife and she said she thought it was his wife she just walked past (chicks and their fucking women's magazines, knowing who's married to who.. bleh..) - basically confiming it was them.. I know it's all a bit of who-gives-a-shit especially for you LA folks but it's pretty full on to be listening to this diatribe for 20 odd minutes and then step out of your car in this town 3000 miles away from the action and see the frigging guy walk right past you - lol. Anyways..
I know no one gives a shit.. so spare me if you're going to go on about it.. I don't care about seeing some b-grade actor myself either.. but it's just one of those great personal coincidences that gives you a chuckle...
