If you're not comfortable with Ubuntu's interface, you can try Kubuntu which looks more like Windows.
The only thing that's stopping me right now from switching completely is WINE, but it's getting pretty good recently, I bet in a few months we will be able to run Photoshop CS2 out of the box. Just give it some time

Portable CS2 installs via WINE effortlessly and works perfectly!
I've been using CS2 as well as Dreamweaver 8 in Ubuntu for months now
