NATS tracks link clicks, as soon as the visitor clicks the link the hit is tracked... even before the tour is loaded. NATS also uses a very good unique/ip/session/cookie tracking system, it tracks better and does not recount clicks unless they re-click the original link.
So this really creates a more pure tracking system it gives you better unique/raw to join ratios.
With that, NATS also has a qualified click feature, which a few sponsors use for first page clicks by removing uniques from the stats.
Most people use qualified clicks for join page hits or second page clicks, which you would see displayed in the webmaster stats area.
