I agree with you on that, but like knewon says, dogs are annoying and require too much attention, it seems like from morning till night my dog is right there wanting me to pet him, play tug-o-war, or he'll want to go outside, only to bark and be brought in then want to go back out. Sure, I love my dog and give him attention, but there comes a point in the day when you just don't want to be bugged.

I wouldn't say cats aren't affectionate at all. I will agree that they don't always come looking for you like a dog would, but usually at night while I'm working, she'll jump up on my desk and lay in front of my monitor for some attention.
