But in all honesty.. if you take a decent color shot... go b/w with it... usually kicks it up some.. gives it that fine art feel. Unless of course everything you shoot is b/w.. then it's just normal. It's also a great way to save a shitty shot. Can make a bad pic lots better. Because you only have two colors (or lack of) to work with rather than a whole palette

Very true.
The color versions were quite good to begin with, but I guess the guy just noticed they loaned themselves better to B&W (the lighting and contrast was good).
I tweaked them a little after converting them, which also helped.
