I think you are probably referring to federal law...and of course there are federal laws...that deny someones freedom to do something, but not as many as the cities...counties...and states have.

Well surely there are. For instance I dont like the fact that I cannot park a vehicle in front of my house from 1am to 5am in the morning. They have the law to make sure that people dont clutter up the street. Ive talked to many officials trying to get the law changed. As it is now they write a ticket with no warnings for 20.00. So im working for them to do a warning system. Why? Because it is simple to accidently leave a car on the street and forget to pull it make in the driveway. Ive got 2 tickets so far and it pissed me the hell off.
Now would I call it losing a "freedom"? no not really.
