Before we got the other one, our cat used to sleep on me every night, now she rarely even comes to say good night
She sort of realized that "Hey, I'm not one of
them - I'm a cat!" when she got a friend, and they love playing together, doing cat things, wrestling and chasing each other around the apartment. Not to mention licking each other
It might be different for a cat that's been the only cat for its whole life, but our cat had a friend for years, and after he died she just seemed slightly depressed. She's been her old happy self since we got Bob
