The guys who own Google should be able to do what ever they like with it, who cares if its a private company, who cares if they adjust rankings.
Do you want someone telling you what you can do with your web site ? How many links you can have on a TGP ? What billing company to use ?
Within reason, nobody has the right to tell someone else what to do with their own property.
