Divx format is by far the best thing you can use to do HD movies. It gives you the best quality file at the smallest size possible. If you use wmv you are bound to give up quality for size of vice versa. Wmv files are way too big. You can make an 18-20 min video at around 200MB with a great result in quality using divx.
