Until enough consumers decide to stand up and fight back, the problem will only get worse. George Bush can?t do anything about it. But John Doe can. John Doe has the power to force oil companies to lower their prices by not driving a few blocks to go to the store to just pickup one or two items. He has to walk there, or ride a bike there. He has to use public transportation whenever possible. He has to carpool as much as possible. HE has to actually be willing to work for something for once.

Unfortunately, the vast majority of John Does aren?t going to do shit about it and that is why you are going to see gas prices continue to rise as long as the John Does of the world continue to suck down gas faster than a diet coke and do nothing to curb their own consumption of it.
