I don't think this is quite right, it's not like time suddenly changes in a snap as you reach the speed of light, it's just that our normal maximum speeds (eg 800km/hr in a jet) are so small relative to the speed of light that they have virtually nil effect. What was it about the twin astronauts, with one travelling at speed in space for a while? They age at different rates... or something.
